7. This octagonal font was made in the 12thC. For over 800 years the children of Maiden Newton have been baptised in this font. 8. A view along the nave to the chancel. The chancel is 14th century although the roof is Victorian.

9. This slate memorial stone lies in the chancel and commemorates a rector who died in 1693.

10. An elaborately carved memorial stone to Fanny, the beloved wife of John Read

15. This postcard with a postmark of 1908, shows a  street scene in Maiden Newton, possibly Cattistock Road?

16. The crossroads near the church, with the War Memorial in the centre of the road from the church.
